13/13: Vietnam Search and Destroy- A Photographic Essay (1967) By Gordon Baxter
The author chronicles the exploits and frustrations of a Marine unit (India,3/1) in the early stages of the Vietnam War. In early 1966 the war had yet to heat-up as, it would later, and soldiers and Marines alike were still feeling their way through the paddies and jungles. They often had no idea of where the enemy was and frequently could not distinguish between civilians and the Viet Cong until they were ambushed.
