Alfresco Flight: The R.A.A.F. Antarctica Experience (1991) By David Wilson
During Mawson's Antarctic expedition of 1929-30 use was made of a Gypsy Moth floatplane piloted by 2 RAAF pilots. Thus began a tradition of service in the Antarctic by the RAAF which was to last almost 50 years.
Winner of the 1990 RAAF Heritage award.
