Biggles Flies North (1980) By Captain W.E. Johns
 
Biggles Flies West by W. E. Johns was first serialized over 9 issues of Modern Boy from Number 23 (23rd July 1938) to Number 31 (17th September 1938). The story was first published in book form by Oxford University Press in 1939. There have been numerous editions in the English language. Besides several editions and reprints by OUP, there has also been one by Brockhampton, and several paperback editions by Armada with the latest in 1982.
 
The story was adapted into comic form in French and published by Artima as the 13th issue of their Biggles small format comic series. The comic appeared in August 1964 under the title Biggles au grand Nord.
