Biggles Flies South (1966) By Captain W.E. Johns
 
Biggles Flies South by W. E. Johns was first serialized as Biggles on the Treasure Trail over 8 issues of Modern Boy (formerly "The Modern Boy") issues 1 to 8, from 19 Feb 1938 to 9 Apr 1938. It was first published in book form by Oxford University Press in 1938. There have been at least 20 editions altogether in the English language, with the most recent being the 1980 edition by Armada.
 
Biggles Flies South is not related to L'Oasis perdue. This derivative graphic novel also features the search for a lost oasis. It is set in the same timeframe but the plot and characters are totally different and so it is not considered an adaptation.
