This is a well-captioned photo book on one of the most famous Waffen SS divisions. The division is supposedly made up of former POW camp guards but that is a gross exaggeration because not all of them were. The book is composed of pictures of the unit in a combat environment. You'll see infantry, armor, and artillery pictures for example. The uniform plates are very well done. This unit was especially effective at defensive operations and one of the few units that actually accomplished its objectives at the famous tank battle at Kursk.
