The author's personal memoirs of his experiences in WWII, including service with the Sydney University Regiment and the RAAF from 1941 to 1945. He was posted to 460 Lancaster Squadron as a navigator in an essentially Australian crew. Graphically describes his capture, interrogation and life as aPOW in StalagIVb, followed by his escape from Russian custody and crossing the Elbe to the safety of the American zone.
