This book is an account of a family's life, lived literally in the centre of the United States' American Fifth Air Force Service Command Base, in Townsville, Australia which was located at the foothills of Mount Louisa in Townsville not far from the Garbutt air base.
It also features the Stock Route air strip which is now Dalrymple Road in Townsville.
